Our 2024 Christmas Appeal is here!
In a year when hostility towards people seeking safety has felt more tangible than ever, our Christmas Appeal has focused on the difference that kindness and compassion make - and how, together, we can make sure that love speaks louder.
This Christmas, people in Greater Manchester will continue to be forced into destitution and homelessness by hostile asylum and immigration systems that inflict a slow violence on their physical and mental health. Systems that rob people of their best years and their hope for the future.
Alongside the hostility ingrained in our asylum and immigration systems, this year also saw shocking acts of violence and hatred targeted at people seeking asylum during the riots that took place over the summer.
This year's Christmas Appeal film (produced by the talented duo of Stone Barrell) centres the voices, experiences and personalities of two people previously supported by Boaz. Through this film, we wanted to hear about who our two participants were - their passions and personalities, what they wanted people to know about them and about the asylum system in the UK.
If you haven't had a chance to watch our new film yet, you can do so by clicking/tapping the button below. Please do also consider giving a gift to our Christmas Appeal so that we can provide stable accommodation and trauma informed support to more people seeking safety in Greater Manchester.
