When hostility and hatred rage, will you stand for love, kindness and fullness of life?
Give to our Christmas Appeal
Let love speak louder than hostility
In 2024, hostility towards people seeking safety has felt more intense than ever - both locally, and globally. In the UK, we saw the devastating impact of misinformation and years of hateful political and media rhetoric towards people seeking asylum. It played out on our streets here in Greater Manchester, and across the country. Sowing fear amongst people already trapped in a hostile asylum system that’s robbed them of hope.
But we also saw the power of small acts of love. The counter protestors chanting "refugees are welcome here." The neighbours helping to clean up looted shops and rebuild targeted mosques. The pub-goers hugging Muslims on the street.
Love is powerful. And this Christmas, you can help make sure love speaks louder.
You make the work of Boaz possible. Giving people like Rahel their hope for the future back. Right now, Rahel is studying, teaching people to cook, and working towards her goal of getting a job. But without your support, she doesn’t know where she would be.
And this Christmas, there are many people in Greater Manchester still stuck where Rahel was. The UK’s hostile immigration policies continue to force people into destitution, leaving them with nowhere to live and inflicting a slow violence on their physical and mental health.
When you give to our Christmas Appeal, you’ll provide safe accommodation and trauma-informed, holistic support for people like Rahel and Viktar. But you’ll do more than that. You’ll help someone know they are valuable, remembered, and loved this Christmas.
Yes, I want someone to know they are loved this Christmas
Boaz helps me to have a bright future and makes me eager to live. I went through a lot in my past life. Boaz hope, it is a great hope.

My life in total, drawing a line, it will be like going up, straight down, and now a little bit rising again.
