20 years of Boaz

After 20 years, we’re still here - and you are part of the reason we can say that. 

As we strive to do more to end destitution and create a culture of welcome for people seeking safety in the UK, below are 20 concrete actions you could take to support us during our anniversary year. We’ll be marking our 20th year from June 2024 through to June 2025.

20 ways to mark 20 years

1. Make us your charity of the year. Ask your workplace, church or local school to lend their support. Email [email protected] for more information.
2. Arrange a bake sale for your office, class, community group or church. 
3. Share your memories of Boaz in the early days with us (send us an email on [email protected]). 
4. Leave a legacy to Boaz. Find out more here.
5. Give away a copy of our latest Supporter Review magazine. Email us if you'd some physical copies to share - we'll send you them for free in the post!
6. Ask your community group, church or school to invite a Boaz speaker to share about our work, the asylum system or refugee rights. 
7. Come to our twice-yearly event, Family Night (the next one is on 9th December 2024). 
8. Help us find more homes for people seeking safety - we're almost always looking for compassionate landlords or for people who are looking to invest in a property for us to use. To discuss this further, send an email to [email protected] 
9. Set up a regular donation of £20 to support our work. Donate here. 
10. Choose to have a courageous conversation with someone you know. 
11. Take on a fundraising challenge to run/cycle/push/walk 20km for Boaz. Get started here.
12. Write a message of welcome for the next person moving into a Boaz house (send it to us at [email protected]).

14. Give 20p for every year that you've lived in your current home. Donate the total here.
