:: Volunteering
We are always looking for volunteers to get involved with our work. Our latest opportunities are listed below. If you are interested in any of these roles, would like more information, or have something else to offer, please give us a call on 0161 202 1056 or email office@boaztrust.org.uk
Key Workers – Could you be a key worker for one of the Boaz houses? The role entails befriending and supporting the tenants, monitoring the condition of the property, and liaising with Nigel our housing manager. We have properties in Rusholme, Harpurhey and Moston. For more information please do contact us.
Are you in London? – Could you provide some advocacy support to asylum seekers who need to come down to London for a day? This would be an occasional task, but you may need to be flexible.
Church Reps – Could you advertise Boaz events, campaigns and issues in your church and perhaps arrange for us to bring along our Boaz roadshow?
Odd job man/woman – Do you have time to do some basic DIY/odd jobs for the Boaz houses.
Hosts – Could you offer a spare room to a destitute asylum seeker for a few days, weeks or even months?
Arts and Crafts – Could you help to coordinate arts and craft activities for our clients? Can you help us to produce simple things we can sell to raise money for Boaz? (Office hours)
If you don’t live in the Manchester area, why not search www.ecsr.org.uk for projects you can get involved in near you.
