:: Sponsored Events
If you would like to do a sponsored event on behalf of Boaz we would love to hear from you. Recently supporters have run the Great Manchester Run, and another is planning to do a Triathlon. If you are not the sporty type, why not consider our Food Parcel Endurance Challenge…
Food Parcel Endurance Challenge
Your challenge is to live off a Red Cross food parcel for one week. Experience what life is like for a refused asylum seeker every week of the year, and raise vital funds for the work of the Boaz Trust.
How does it work?
You buy the items included in a Red Cross food parcel and attempt to live off them for a week. This includes basics such as bread, rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes and a small amount of fruit and vegetables. The money you save from your weekly food budget can be donated to the Boaz Trust. You can also raise sponsorship from friends and family. This helps to raise awareness about the problem of destitution amongst asylum seekers. You could even contact the local press or your MP to inform them about your challenge.
How do I sign up?
Simply call us on 0161 202 1056 or email your details to office@boaztrust.org.uk.
We will send you an Endurance Challenge Pack containing further information, a food parcel shopping list, a sponsor form, and a journal based on Christian Bible readings if you would like one.
