Our accommodation and holistic support for asylum seekers and refugees would not be possible without your generosity. If you are able, please consider supporting Boaz’s work with destitute asylum seekers and refugees in Greater Manchester.
-£30 could pay for a legal appointment enabling clients to submit fresh evidence
-£20 could pay for bedding and emergency food and toiletries for a homeless asylum seeker
-£10 could pay for a food parcel for an asylum seeker for one week
-£5 could pay for a bus pass allowing an asylum seeker the freedom to travel and participate in Boaz Life activities.
Ways you can give:
-Regular giving is a great way to support our work as it helps us to plan for the long term – until the day destitution amongst asylum seekers and refugees ends.
Give by cheque. Please make cheques payable to ‘The Boaz Trust’ and send them to Boaz Trust, Kath Locke Centre, 123 Moss Lane East, Manchester, M15 5DD.
If you are eligible to gift aid your donation please send us a completed Gift Aid Declaration. This allows us to claim an additional 25% of the value of your donation without it costing you a penny more.
For more information about how we raise funds and our commitment to our financial supporters, please visit our fundraising commitment page. If you have any questions please email email@example.com or call the Boaz office.
Gifts in kind
We really appreciate donations of food and toiletries, which can be passed on to clients at our monthly Free Shop. The most needed items are listed below or you can print off a full PDF list here.
Specific needs for our August 2018 Free Shop:
Basmati rice, vegetable oil, sugar (500g packs), women’s toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, body lotion).
Please note – we are now fully stocked with both egg boxes and sanitary towels. Thank you to all those who have donated these!
Donations can be dropped off during office hours. Please call the Boaz office or email us to arrange a drop off time if you are bringing a large amount so we can prepare a space!
Please note that we are very rarely able to store and distribute clothes and household goods. We also can’t take opened toiletries or food that has passed its use by date.
If you like the idea of helping provide food and toiletries but can’t get donations to us you may want to make a donation to #stocktheshop. This way we can go shopping for you and you’ll still be helping provide much appreciated items for the Free Shop.
