The Boaz Trust receives no government funding because of the nature of our work. We are reliant on donations from individuals and churches to carry out the work we do. If you would like to do a sponsored event on behalf of Boaz we would love to hear from you: please email funding@boaztrust.org.uk.
Opportunities coming up…
The Lent Endurance Challenge returns this year- starting from Wednesday 22nd Feb (Ash Wednesday). This is an annual event which has seen loads of money and awareness raised for Boaz over the last few years. The idea is to live off a Red Cross Food Parcel (which destitute asylum seekers are entitled to for up to 1 year after being refused asylum) and see how you get on! You can also raise funds for Boaz along the way- either by downloading our sponsorship form:
or by setting up a fundraising page through Charity Giving:
We’re also putting together a special blog for the Lent season, featuring articles and thoughts from Endurance Challengers, Boaz team members, asylum seekers and more! Watch this space for details…
Finally, click below to view our Endurance Challenge Journal, with thought-provoking daily reflections on the Bible, UN Declaration on Human Rights, and how these can impact our lives today…
The STAR/Still Human Still Here ‘Sleepout for Destitution’ is taking place on Thurs 23rd Feb, at the Manchester University Student Union steps on Oxford Road. This looks set to be even bigger and better than last year, raising awareness about the plight of destitute asylum seekers amongst students, politicians and other people of influence across the UK. If you want to take part, raise money for Boaz or tell your mates about it, let us know- we’d love to help you out!
