Run for Boaz in the Bupa Great Manchester Run 2013

The Bupa Great Manchester Run run is a great event, 40,000 runners are expected this year. The 10K route will take you by Manchester landmarks and there will be crowds of people cheering you on. The Boaz Trust has been given 16 charity places in this year’s race. It’s a great opportunity for you to get fit or beat your personal best, while raising funds for Boaz.

We’ll provide you with a Boaz t-shirt, a sponsorship pack and certificate once you’ve completed the race! We’d need you to train, find sponsorship and turn up on 26 May. You’ll be in good company – our Chief Executive Mark Cloherty will be running this year.

Thanks to all who gave…

You might remember our shortfall appeal earlier this summer. Well, as August draws to a close it is with great delight that we can let you know we raised £22,500 in total and all of that will be going towards meeting the core costs that make Boaz tick, and keep people off the streets of Manchester!

So a huge thanks to everyone who gave, from the £5 donations to the £5000 one-off gifts, everything makes a difference!

To those who gave- or if you didn’t get round to it this time- could you consider becoming a Friend of Boaz and giving regularly to support our work? This is the best and most sustainable way we can avoid shortfalls in the future! Find out more here.

Thanks once again!

Day of prayer at Boaz today!

To all those who pray for Boaz regularly, or would like to start, today is a great day to do it! Here in the office we are spending the day praying at regular intervals for specific needs within the organisation, particularly around our financial needs.

You may be aware of our Urgent Appeal which has so far raised £17,000- amazing! We are so grateful to God for this blessing, and to all the individuals and churches that have responded so generously. But we still need to raise £3000 to meet our funding needs so please do join us in praying for this!

You can follow our Twitter feed today for hourly prayer updates. Please get in touch if you have any thoughts you wish to share, or click here if you want to donate today!
